African plane damaged by rocket attack in Gaza Strip

GAZA STRIP - Israelis guerilla fighters damaged plane during an attack at Rafah airport in the far north-eastern part of Gaza Strip, press reports said. Security forces countered the attack which occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning. According to Al-Ahram Weekly, the attackers damaged an Airplane belonged to Kenyan BVC transport Airlines owned by Barthe Cortes, while CNN said two helicopters and a military aircraft had been hit.The attackers had arrived in two off-road vehicles with rocket launchers and machine guns and were able to escape across the "ground zero", the reports said. It remained unclear whether the attackers tried to enter the airport site or whether they had only fired shots from a distance.
